CV and profile registration
If you register with Go4ConstructionJobs.com you'll provide us with your first and last name, phone number and email address plus you'll specify a password. In addition, your jobseeker profile includes your country of residence, years of work experience, sector specialism, desired job title and salary, willingness to relocate, availability as well as your CV document.

You will know what details we are obtaining as you will be able to see on the Register CV page whatever it is we are requesting from you.

2. Why do we collect personal information?

The processing of your personal information is necessary to provide you with the service for which you desire. We collect profile and CV data to save you time when applying for jobs, to tailor the types of jobs we might send in email marketing campaigns (if you have opted to receive them) and so that recruiters and employers who have been granted access to our CV database are able to headhunt you for relevant jobs (if you have opted to set your profile and CV to “searchable” in your profile).

The statistical, aggregated data we collect is used to inform business decisions on how to improve the jobseeker experience, as well as to share top level data to clients (e.g. the total number of unique visitors to the site each month).

3. What do we do with your personal information?

The processing of your personal information is necessary to provide you with the service for which you desire. We may process your data when we need to do this to fulfil a contract with you, such as to send your details and CV to an employer or recruiter for a specific job application you have made.

We collect data to understand your needs, to provide you with a better service and a more relevant jobseeker experience.

3.1 Your personal information may be used to:

• provide information to recruiters and/or employers using the site;
• answer queries you submit to us;
• improve the standard of service we offer to you;

3.2 If you decide to register with go4constructionjobs, you will be required to submit a copy of your CV to us when you submit your registration form. If you submit your CV to us this will automatically be forwarded to a prospective employer/recruiter if you respond to an advert/recruitment notice on this website. You will also be given the option to have your CV appear in the searchable recruiter database so that recruiters can contact you with jobs they feel you may be interested in.

3.3 Your CV will only be placed in the searchable recruiter database if you have checked the appropriate box on the registration form. However, whilst we take every care in the placing of CVs in the searchable recruiter database and we try to ensure that the database is only searched by recruiters and employers, we cannot be held responsible for any third party posing as an employer or recruiter gaining access to the database and/or other errors which may occur in this process.

3.4 You may choose to remove your CV from the searchable database but employers and recruiters may have already downloaded a copy of your CV and we cannot be held responsible for the use of your CV.

3.5 We may share your personal information and/or usage history with other companies/organisations with whom we have a close working relationship so as they may provide you with details of related services/products which may be of interest to you. Before you submit your personal information to us, we will give you the option to stop us from sharing your personal information with such companies/organisations if you so wish.

4. What legal basis do we rely on to process your personal information?

4.1 Consent
We rely on your consent for all promotional messages via email, whether that is a newsletter or job alert by email. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time, either by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the footer of the email, or by updating your preferences within your profile. If you have opted to make your CV and profile “searchable” then recruiters and employers who have an agreement with us may view your CV and contact you about jobs which they consider match your experience. We ask recruiters to only retain your CV for as long as necessary and not to use it for purposes other than recruitment.

6. How long is personal information kept for?

We store personal information for as long is required in order to deliver a service to you, that is both useful and still required. As such we will keep candidate profile and CV data indefinitely to enable candidates to return to our sites in the future in order to apply for their next job as their career evolves. Candidates can login and apply for jobs using their stored profile and CV. Typically candidates will make applications a number of years apart. Occasionally we may send out emails to registered candidates who have been inactive for some years asking whether they still wish to remain registered. In this instance when no response has been received the data stored for that particular individual will be deleted.

We have a legitimate business interest in retaining CVs and candidate profiles in order for candidates to keep track of their previous job applications and monitor the job market through job alert emails. Candidates have complete control to upload, amend or delete their profile and CV at any time.

7. Please do not share sensitive personal data

Please do not share any personal data that could be considered sensitive, whether in your your CV, key skills statement or job application cover letter. This includes data such as your health, political opinions, passport details, bank details and photographs. Whilst we endeavour to ensure the security of all data we hold, it is your responsibility to provide only data which is relevant to your job search.

 8. How and where do we store personal data?

We store your personal data in secure data centres in the UK. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from loss or destruction. We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data breaches. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

Where you have a username or password which enables you to access certain services or parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Despite all precautions however, no data transmission over the internet can be 100% secure. So, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of data you transmit to us and you must understand you do so at your own risk.

9. Your right to access personal data we hold about you

To delete your account, please login in as a jobseeker. Click on 'update details' and select ‘Remove my details’.

When you close your account, your profile and CV data are removed, we do not keep a copy.

We are not responsible for how recruiters and employers who have already received your personal information as a consequence of a job application or those who have downloaded your profile and CV as a result of you making your CV and profile 'Searchable'.

11. Security

We are committed to keeping your personal data safe and secure from unauthorised access to or unauthorised alterations, disclosure or destruction of information that we hold. When you create an account, the password you specify will be encrypted.

Access to personal information from Go4constructionjobs employees will only be those who need to know that information in order to process it for us and who are subject to contractual confidentiality and processing obligations.

12. Your rights

You have the following rights:

The right to ask what personal data that we hold about you at any time;
The right to ask us to update and correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal data that we hold about you free of charge; and (as set out above) the right to opt out of any marketing communications that we may send you.
