Technical Engineer
The Company: Opportunity for an experienced Bills of Materials Engineer / Technical Engineer to join a growing, market leading manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for customer satisfaction.
The Role: The Technical Engineer will take responsibility for ensuring all components, sub systems and enclosures are correctly specified and available for production. Main responsibilities will include:
* Interpret and convert customer documentation into standard format BoM ensuring component compatibility
* Control internal and external ECR's and ECN's
* Identify suitable replacement components in cases of non-supply or obsolescence
* Liaise with customer on all component, DFM, engineering and build changes
* Work closely with Engineering, Procurement and Production departments to generate build instructions
The Candidate: Technical Engineer
* Ability to understand and generate complex Bill of Materials for electro-mechanical devices
* Previously managed engineering change control in a regulated or highly controlled environment (desirable)
* Understanding of DFM, component approval processes and production / process change procedures
* Formal electrical / electronic qualification such as an HNC / HND and a detailed understanding of electronic components and an appreciation of mechanical engineering principles (ideally)
Salary: To £29K (DOE)
