Currently we are looking for a Director, Asset Management on direct hire in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for our client, a major international Real Estate Developer located in Abu Dhabi and headquartered in the United States.

Our client is responsible for design, infrastructure, construction, leasing, and
property management functions of new developments.

For the position of Director, Asset Management you require the follow:

Experience
• 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate with substantial property management
experience in office, retail, mixed use, and hi-rise multi-family properties. On-site, hands-on
property management experience strongly preferred. Corporate facilities management and asset management experience a plus.
• International work experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience dealing with institutional investors, real estate funds, REITs, and/or joint-venture equity partners.
• 3-5 years experience managing remote commercial real estate property operations and related multifunctional personnel, including accounting personnel oversight.

Experience, Qualifications, competence
• Strong understanding of real estate investment and asset management strategies.
• Experience in implementing yield-enhancing activities to accomplish investment strategies.
• Presentation, inspirational and persuasive skills.
• Experience negotiating management service contracts.
• Long-term business outlook coupled with conceptual, analytical and adaptable thinking leading to sound business judgment and well-grounded resolution of problems.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with both peers and upper management and to bridge lines of communication at multiple levels improving horizontal integration within different
functional groups.
• Proven ability to co-operatively develop a team by retaining, developing, disciplining, recognizing and rewarding employees at various levels.
• Superior communication skills demonstrating sensitivity and understanding in detecting
underlying concerns or motivations in others, utilizing this to develop effective responses.
• Proven ability to develop and use planning and monitoring systems to organize and measure
activities and performance.
• Eventual knowledge of employment laws, compensation trends, legislative or other regulatory issues or trends affecting commercial real estate.
• Ability to drill down at the operational level to understand specific factors influencing a property’s
performance.
• College or university bachelor degree required. Financial, accounting, business and/or real estate educational focus a plus. An advanced degree in business, law or real estate is preferred as are a CPM, RPA or other real estate licenses or designations.
