Project Design Coordinator

Our Client, a major International Contractor seeks a Project Design Coordinator for his UAE Sports Complex Project (Value in excess of 1 Billion AED.)

This senior professional will manage the complete design process on site, reporting to the Project Director. He will be responsible for the overall delivery of the project. The project will involve complex services and finishings with much of the work being carried out by Subcontractors. Great emphasis will be placed on planning, coordination and teamwork to ensure the Client achieves his opening date.
He will have prior experience in building complex buildings and will be able to bring that experience to bear in interrogating the designs and methods proposed so as to help overcome gaps and clashes in the process.
Although he may not be a designer he must understand the design process. He will manage the ebb and flow of information from consultants, subcontractors and suppliers acting as a facilitator to overcome differences and produce timely cost effective solutions.

He will have had a minimum of 10 years as a Design Manager or Coordinator for a Contractor and be able to contribute at strategy level as well.
UAE experience would be an advantage but a senior role on big complex buildings is a Must!
