Quality Manager – Abu Dhabi

Fantastic opportunity for a career driven engineer who would like to relocate to the Middle East and work on a Quality Management position for a major island project in the UAE.

Our client is responsible for the design and construction supervision of all the infrastructure for this spectacular waterfront development. This includes roads, services, bridges, marine walls, dredging and reclamation, landscape, and light rail (train).

Presently, the design is at various stages of delivery including concept, preliminary, detailed and final design. Construction activity is rapidly increasing and currently involves dredging, reclamation, marine walls, piling and earthworks. The design will continue until mid 2009 and the supervision until 2011.

Our client is seeking a Quality Manager to make a significant contribution to the design and site supervision. As a member of this large team you will be responsible for:
- Facilitating risk management,
- Liaising with the corporate Quality Management team
- facilitating and undertake audits
- Coordinating all training for all staff on the development (currently in excess of 200) and maintaining and continuously improving the systems in use on the development.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, preferably in engineering. You will have strong technical, motivational and leadership skills. You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience and have excellent oral and written communication skills. The role will be predominately client focused and therefore you must have good business analysis skills.

Fluent written and spoken English is essential, basic Arabic is a bonus.
