Placed in the AJ’s top 35 Architectural Practices for 2008, and top 10 for Multi Disciplinary Practices, my client is a leader in their field with offices in Croydon, Birmingham, Leeds and Edinburgh. They have an excellent reputation for well designed sustainable buildings aiming for BREAM excellence.
Because one of their partner company has been successful in winning several BSF contracts they now need a SENIOR ARCHITECT with good schools experience to lead a team supporting their work. This is an opportunity to join a practice fully committed to a sustainable way of life. Key responsibilities
Prepare feasibility studies and presentations
Detail all architectural elements of the building, ranging from primary research of products and details through to construction.
Lead and manage project teams of architects, technicians and building engineers
Provide point of contact and liaison with the client and the contractor
Progress projects that average between £15m and £20m through all the RIBA job stages, providing ‘hands on’ innovative design solutions, managing design matters throughout the design team
Co-ordinate the architecture, structures, services and fitted components, resolving any site issues.
Qualifications and experience
Part 3 qualified architect with a portfolio of completed work demonstrating good design skills and construction knowledge.
Must be AutoCAD proficient with sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
Enthusiastic, committed, versatile and a creative team player
Ambitious, with an eye for quality and design flair
Good presentation and communication skills an advantage
A proven history of a variety of schools/education experience in the UK
Good CAD ability required, setting up new, and working with existing drawings.
