Senior Bridge Engineer

Location: UK-Yorkshire North
Salary: 26-35000 GBP

This international organisations seeks a talented senior bridge engineer to join their busy office in York.

You will be responsible for preparing and checking structural assessment calculations or designs for railway underbridges and highway bridges, as well as leading and developing a team of Engineers and Technicians.

Ideally, qualified to CEng MICE or CEng MIStructE level, with significant knowledge and experience of working on structures assessments, design of bridges or metal structures, you will have a detailed knowledge of the use of current limit state assessment and design codes for railway underbridges and highway bridges. A competent lead engineer, skilled in meeting financial and delivery targets, you will also be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Superstress, Lusas, and Microsoft Word software, which will be as essential as your strong communication skills.

Applications are also welcomed from individuals with proven experience and ability in heavy industrial civil engineering. A background of design, fabrication and construction would be an advantage.
