Project Engineer :
The ideal candidate should have experience (10-15 years) in project Engineering of Major Civil projects.
Required Qualifications:
Recognised Degree BSc/HNC or other appropriate Certificate of Higher Education
Main Tasks and Specific Duties:
.Define the engineering work scope for each project.
.Identify the appropriate technical standards to be achieved, ensure the development of a design plan for the project and ensure its consistent application during the design process.
.To hold bi-weekly Engineering Department Meetings.
.Ensure timely provision of design, specifications and engineering documentation and/or timely review of contractors' submittals referred to Engineering for review. In doing so ensure the required Project schedules are met.
.Co-ordinate with Project Manager to provide the required engineering discipline support during all phases of the project.
.To maintain an overview of engineering activities carried out.
.Support the Project Manager in the planning and execution of technical audits and design reviews.
.Advise the the Project Manager on the important technical issues as they affect engineering,
construction and operation of the projects.
.Identify the need for , and improvement of, procedures to facilitate the effective operation of the Engineering Department.
.Carry out regular dialogue and attend a regular meeting with the Project Manager.
.Ensure resolution of technical problems and control of interfaces.
.Identify required codes, international standards, product standards and textbooks to assist control of the engineering during the execution of the project.
.Establish and maintain good working relationships.
