Contract Manager

The Company/The Project

Our client is a very large Asian owned conglomerate with several diverse business areas ranging from automobile manufacturing to retail development.

Its construction business is a vast enterprise in its own right and the company is currently providing main and principle sub contracting services on a variety of very large building and civil engineering projects in the Middle and Far East with values regularly in excess of US 500 million.

Currently the company requires a QS/Contracts Manager for their Reclamation project in Singapore. This is part of the Pasir Panjang Terminal scheme, valued at US$ 635 million, which will ultimately provide 16 extra berths by 2013 at the Pasir Panjang terminal, which will have an annual handling capacity of 14 million standard containers, an increase of 40% in capacity.

The job
The client requires a QS/Contracts Manager who should have contractual management and claims experience on marine civil engineering, reclamation, dredging, jetty, breakwater construction projects - ideally in an international contracting environment.

The Package
This is offered on a 12 month renewable basis and single status candidates will benefit from a package that includes accommodation and food/laundry services etc. leave cycle for single status candidates is currently 16weeks on/2 weeks off. Married posting may be available by negotiation.
