The Requirements of the role
• The purpose of this role is to manage & implement the CCC HSE&S Management System on the project in line with the Group HSE&S Management System & ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001.
• This role is responsible for the implementation & management of the CCC Standard HSE&S Management System, Programs & Procedures in line with the OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 certifications on the Project, temporary facilities & permanent facilities with a strong emphasis on championing HSE&S Awareness through out the area & ensuring compliance with OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 certifications. This role is also responsible for the management of all HSE&S Sub families on the project.
• Reports to the Project Director / Manager with a functional reporting link to the Area HSE Manager if available & to the Functional head of the HSE&S Department.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
• B. Sc. in related HSE Field (Env Sciences, Env Engineering, Occupational Studies, Loss Prevention and control, Safety Management…) or B.Sc. Engineering from an Internationally recognized University minimum of 10 years experience in the HSE Field and at least 5 years of Construction site experience in International Construction Companies.
• Proven Broad based managerial skills accrued over a period of 5 years
• Assertive Personality Sensitive to Multi cultural & multi national environments
• Certification with Internationally recognized bodies (Preferred)
• In depth knowledge of HSE International Codes & Standards e.g. CFR, OSHA, NFPA, British Safety Standard
• Developed Knowledge of construction project disciplines and Engineering and procurement
• Developed technical knowledge & understanding of execution methodology
• High level of commercial, contractual & cost & experience
• Experience in preparation, development & implementation of HSE&S Management System & procedures in line with ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001.
• Hands on experience in conducting Audits, investigations & root cause analysis & fault tree analysis.
• Proven leadership & motivation skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• High level of computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets & presentations)
• High level of communication & influencing skills and coordination skills
• Excellent presentation skills, negotiation skills, Delegation skills
• Advanced training skills in preparation, development & delivery of training programs.
