Principal Bridge Engineer

Location: UK-London
Salary: 34-40000 GBP

A leading international consultancy seeks a Principal Engineer who will be responsible for the day to day management of a bridge design team within their office and its broad range of civil/structural designs.

You will be responsible for technical and commercial management of projects and management of individual client accounts.
You would be expected to meet clients regularly and ensure that they were provided with a first class service. There would be further opportunities for personnel advancement upon successful contribution to the expansion of our already growing workload.


The applicant must be capable of taking a hands-on approach to design and technical coaching of junior staff. You will ideally be a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with good communication skills, good team player and an ability to lead. Ideally you should have sufficient railway bridge design experience to be able to technically manage a small bridge design team with minimal supervision.
In addition you should have `client facing` experience and be able to manage the client interface on a day to day basis.

The applicant will be expected to undertake a broad range of civil/structural projects and a background with broad experience would be an advantage.
