Principal Maritime Engineer

Location: Glasgow
Salary: 40-50000 GBP

One of the leading international design consultants in Glasgow is looking to appoint a Chartered Structural Engineer for their impressive Maritime Business Group to support regional as well as international Maritime projects that are undertaken from this office.

The principal function of this position is to act as a Project Engineer and undertake design work, prepare project documentation and provide technical support to the project design teams. This will entail acting as designer (or design supervisor) on the planning and design of ports, dockyards and marine terminals involving heavy civil structures, preparing study reports, contract documents and assisting with management of tender process.

The role may also involve supporting business development activities as required, including liaison with client and other external parties.

The successful candidate should possess a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent and should boast experience in the field of Maritime Civil Engineering. Applicants will be pro-active and willing to take on responsibility in a role that could provide an excellent platform to further progress their career on an exciting range of new projects.
