Business Manager

Location: Manchester

This role is for various projects and opportunities around the UK in the ports/harbours and coastal markets, based from in our clients Manchester office & there will be some travel involved.

There are a number of high-profile ports and harbours projects around the UK. Our client is actively involved in the ports and harbours market, and is planning to expand this part of the business.

They require an experienced and professional manager capable of: Running a major project; Acting in a business manager role for a number of smaller projects and assisting in the marketing and tendering required to secure future projects

Ideally have some previous Marine experience.

Good knowledge of and track record in marine construction
Responsible for the delivery of projects and commercial success of the region
Proactively promotes HSQE and CSR at both site and office level
Ensures all operations are planned and executed in accordance with the BMS
Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with customers and employees
Has a strong relationship with sub-contractors and suppliers
Proven track record of cost control and programme delivery
Sound understanding of industry forms of contract and contract legislation
Take on role of Bid Manager with regards to tendering future projects.
