Commercial Manager

Our client is a part of Carillion plc, employs over 400 staff and provides comprehensive planning, engineering and architectural design and construction services.

They are currently recruiting for a Commercial manager. He will be reporting to the Commercial Director, and working with other financial groups, he will support the winning and monitoring of contracts. The work involves participation in bid panels, preparation and evaluation of commercial risk synopsis, project auditing and commercial reviews, contract evaluation and claims preparation and evaluation. This vacancy arises through the volume of work required and through the acquisition of Enviros consultants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dealing with contracts for consultancy services and construction.
Preparation of fee bids
Evaluating and negotiating additional fees for changes and claims
Evaluating and resolving claims against the consultant
Arranging insurance for professional indemnity, third party and contractors
Preparation and review of risk synopses

OTHER FEATURES
The job holder will need to be security cleared
There will be a certain amount of business travel to visit offices

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Professionally qualified in a construction related discipline
Significant experience of working in a similar commercial role ideally in a
multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
Excellent knowledge of all forms of contract
Good negotiating skills
Able to prepare and deliver presentations
Excellent written and verbal skills

SALARY RANGE
Circa £50,000
