A leading international design consultant in Edinburgh is looking to appoint a Marine Engineer to take responsibility for design work associated with a varied range of schemes in the Coastal, Ports and Inland Waterways sectors in Scotland. This vacancy has arisen in response to an increased design requirement from the company's prestigious client list.
This position requires considerable design experience, including Concrete and Steel Structures, preferably within the Marine environment, as well as a track record working on Coastal Structures. Successful applicants will also liaise with clients and to assist in the development of team members. Additionally, experience in report writing and preparation of contract documents would be a great advantage.
Dynamic and self-motivated candidates will need either a BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or a MSc/MEng in Civil Engineering or Maritime Engineering, and ideally be Chartered, though those approaching Chartered status will also be considered.
