RESIDENT MANAGER- Oman
Salary – 5500- 7000GBP per month


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Resident Manager to join one of the fastest growing Middle East Architect and engineering consultants.

Requirements:
· Degree in Architecture (or Civil Engineering)
· Project Management background (DESIGN, not construction). Contract management
· Office set-up / office management. Must have strong management skills – people skills very important.
· Strong business development – personality is very important
· Strong on details, in addition to the usual strategic level expertise
· Must be prepared to work all hours to get the job done.



Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the set up of the new office in Oman.
· Be responsible for the management of the Oman office.
· Co-work with the HOD: Finance & Administration to establish financial goals.
· Establish long term goals, plans and policies with the Directors.
· Develop business opportunities in Oman (and other Gulf countries as may be agreed).
· Oversee the projects secured in Oman and perform a liaison role on these projects.
· Report to the Directors and work in close cooperation with the Heads of Departments and Team Managers.
General areas of responsibility are listed below. From time to time the Directors will review and agree Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) / Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with the Resident Manager – Oman:

1. Assess the market and develop a marketing strategy for Oman.
2. KPI: Marketing Strategy agreed with the Directors.
KPI: Provide monthly reports on market research, market segmentation, new business contacts made, opportunities being pursued, etc.
2. Agree an annual budget with the Directors (and in conjunction with Finance & Administration).
3. Seek and develop business opportunities in Oman.
4. After securing projects, as agreed with the Directors, either:
· KPA: Project manage the agreed contracts (KPI’s to be agreed); or
· Perform Project Liaison role with the Client.
5. Extend business development activities into other Gulf countries, as and when required by the Directors.
