My client is an International consultant who are committed to design excellence in the delivery of first class solutions which combine, innovation, imagination and best practice.
They are currently looking for an experience MEP Team leader to join their team in Muscat.
You will be responsible for mechanical building services engineering design, from concept design through to construction issue and site supervision.
Essentials
You must be Degree qualified - minimum requirement of BE
- 5-10 years experience working in design of Building Services for Private, Government, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Leisure and Hotel markets
- Experience of mechanical design software - E-20, IES Design suite, Hevacomp
- Experience of local utilities rules, regulations and design guides
- Understanding of British, American and International design standards
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, detailed knowledge of MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills and written and spoken English essential
Desirables
- IEng or CEng qualification
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles advantageous
An understanding of AutoCAD
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out design calculations on a variety of buildings i.e. residential, commercial, educational, leisure facilities, industrial etc
- Design according to local utilities rules, regulations and design guides
- Design to British, American and International design standards
- Preparing technical specifications
- Preparing drawings for drafting by in-house CAD team
- Instruct CAD operators in all project related matters and responsible for the checking of all CAD works done
- Co-ordinate with Architects, Structural engineers and Electrical engineers and any other external design consultant
- Site surveys and inspections
