SR. ESTIMATOR FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIAL - INTERNATIONAL
Location: Canada
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-20 years related experience and strong knowledge of estimating processes and programs on all classes of capital cost estimates. This position would require extensive international travel from a base office in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
The candidates previous experience should also include Heavy Industrial Consulting, Mechanical Civil Consulting, International Experience, Previous estimating experience with large internationally known consulting firms, past experience with ownership of the complete estimating cycle and projects based in US$
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Preparing pre-feasibility, feasibility, appropriation, budget control and check estimates
Preparing estimates for at risk EPC projects
Preparing cost estimate reviews, analysis and reports
Participating in value engineering studies
Preparing risk analysis reports
Interacting and coordinating with engineering suppliers and contractors
Developing and maintaining estimating software databases, models, equipment and material costs, cost trends and benchmarks
REQUIREMENTS
Solid English language skills are paramount (both verbal and written). Additional language skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese will be a definite advantage.
High level of confidence in your estimating skills and strong/proven knowledge.
Must have previous experience in an engineering consulting background.
Must be goal oriented and have very strong organizational and planning skills.
Must be aware of costs associated with all disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical.
Must have excellent communications and teamwork skills.
Must have international experience.
Must have proficient computer skills and previous experience with estimating software.
Field experience would be a definite asset.
Association with any cost engineering affiliations would be a definite asset.
Annual salary will be calculated according to experience level. (Range $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 Canadian)
Retirement Savings Plan Contributions at 5% of salary.
Overtime pay (aprox 10% to 20% of base pay).
Overtime hours can be paid out or banked.
Expenses will be covered.
