Quantity Surveyor - Pre Contract QS

Our client was established in 1984 to provide specialist commercial construction services to the construction industry in Dubai and the UAE. They have now grown to become one of the leading Quantity Surveying practices in the UAE and the Middle East with over 200 employees, and due to continued growth, are currently looking to recruit a number of Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors.

Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of pre and post contract quantity surveying duties, including cash flow programming, advising on feasibility studies, initial budgets, cost planning preparation of tendering and contract documentation through to financial reporting and the settlement of final accounts. You will be site based and working on some of the most renowned projects in the area such as Dubai World Central International Airport at Jebel Ali and projects on Palm Island. You will be expected to liaise effectively with the client and all colleagues involved on the project.

Person:
The Person:
At Quantity Surveyor level, we are looking to recruit candidates that must hold a relevant degree from a recognised university. MRICS or equivalent is desired but not essential. Additional to this qualification, successful candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years post qualification experience. Senior Quantity Surveyors must hold similar qualifications but also a minimum of 9 years post qualification experience. All candidates will be required to have demonstrable skills in current cost control techniques on projects of a similar nature and magnitude, together with knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract and International Methods of Measurement. Any international experience especially within the UAE or Middle East would be preferable.
