Key Duties:
• Management and technical production of urban design, streetscape, corridor, downtown, neighborhood, waterfront, park, plaza and revitalization planning projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
• Design appraisal and generation of options.
• Lead projects as well as coordinate with the efforts of project managers, technical staff, other designers, landscape architects, urban planners, and other disciplines on multiple, large scale and complex projects.
• Coordinate with the group and office leaders in staff supervision, budgeting, goal setting, staffing, recruiting, and project coordination necessary to provide high quality service and products.
• Coordinate the technical inputs of planners, infrastructure engineers and landscape architects.
• A high level of interface with clients, consultants and region officials is expected.
• Ability to give direction to junior staff and interns while successfully managing multiple projects.
• Assist Operations Manager with project scheduling, fee assessment and staffing.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, review, monitor, evaluate, and report on the assigned design efforts.
• Select and nurture junior staff in their roles as developing planning staff.
