Senior Technician - bridges

Due to the continued success of this design consultancy, exciting opportunities now exist for Senior Technicians to work on a number of major bridge and architectural footbridge projects. Successful candidates will also be involved in major highway and motorway improvement schemes being carried out under ECI and Design and Build contracts.

The role will involve undertaking, and supporting the preparation of, various aspects of bridge design on large Bridge and Highways Improvement Schemes. You will also be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members.

Interested candidates will be Incorporated Engineers or from a HND/HNC education background with wide ranging experience in several aspects of design which may include: The preparation of General Arrangement drawings; Detailing of steelwork and reinforced concrete for bridge and highway structures and;Thorough knowledge and experience in using Autocad. You will also have a proven ability to supervise other technicians and communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties. A flexible attitude and a keen interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment with frequently changing deadlines are essential.
