Tecnico CAD - Civile

The Client
My client is the largest privately owned construction firm in the UK. They have offices in the UK, Germany, India, Australia and United Arab Emirates.
They have a truly integrated capability, with a directly-employed internal supply chain allowing them to take a holistic view of construction.
They specialize in delivering ambitious yet achievable construction projects that delight both clients and the communities who use them every day, and the company is responsible for some of the most innovative construction solutions anywhere in the world.
Due to new and ongoing projects they are currently looking for experienced; CAD Technicians on contract basis, to join them in the Middle East.

Requirements of the role

• Civil engineering diploma (three years) or draughtsman civil (two years course).
• 5 years + general CAD Experience preferably in contracting.
• 2+ years experience of formwork / falsework drawing with a Contractor / Equipment Supplier.
• Capable of completing formwork / falsework load analysis.
• Organize and maintain drawing registers and drawing/document folders and arrange plotting as required.
• Ability to swiftly appraise all types of information. Good communication skills (spoken and written).
• Reasoning and problem solving skills – with ability to think laterally.
• Ability to assess structural form & prepare sections & details from Structural layout drawings.
• Familiarity with common construction methods.
• Familiarity with common temporary works solutions, proprietary systems etc.
