Power Sector Development Manager - Thailand
Circa US$130-160k tax free plus Flights, Accommodation, Health and Benefits.
Company: European Consultancy and Engineering business providing consultancy, design, construction and project management for large thermal and renewable energy power plants.
Role: Power Sector Development Manager required to develop power sector business opportunities in South East Asia. Reporting to the Regional Director your responsibilities will include conceptual studies for power plant projects, feasibility and design studies, technical assessments and recommendations, technical due diligence assessments for acquisition of power plants, Lenders, Engineer and Client reports. Management of EPC tendering projects, negotiations with EPC contractors, IPP bidding projects, PPA negotiations and power project development in general, plus Management of various other technical consulting assignments. The projects are made up of complex technical, economic, financial and government aspects which require problem solving ability, creative vision, diplomacy and tact.
Requirements: Only applicants with a power sector relevant European or Western Engineering Degree and extensive experience of the international Power sector will be considered.
Technical report writing and the ability to overcome complex technical issues is a key aspect of this role, therefore previous technical experience of varied Power projects is essential. Applicants must be fluent in English; previous experience of working in South East Asia would be an advantage. Ref: 2467
