The Role of Planning Manager

This prestigious Civil Engineering contractor is looking for a Planning Manager to work on a new construction project in Abu Dhabi. The purpose of the role is to enhance the capacity of the Programme Management Team and provide resilience in delivering the transport portfolio for this construction project; in particular ensuring all projects are kept to time, budget, quality and defined scope.

Duties will include:

- Manage a team of 4-7 Planners
- Completion of monthly reporting dashboard and preparation of documentation required for Formal Management Meeting to tight timelines and changing requirements to reflect the requirements of the programme.
- Production of financial reporting information for both project and corporate budgets, production of the budget tracking documentation, generation of variance analysis and submission of accruals data.
- Contract Management and administration.

Key attributes:

As a Planning Manager you will be to have a Contractor background working in Construction with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Planning Manager working preferably with some Middle East experience.


The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Planning Manager and will need to posses the following experience:

- Construction experience within a Contractor
- Experience as a practising Senior Planner with preferably an engineering background
- Measured and well organised approach
- Confident communication, both in writing and in internal and external presentations
- Sound understanding of both ICE and ECC form of contracts
- Confident handler with P3e, Power Project, MS Project and Primavera
- Established user of AutoCad
- Competent user of Ms Word, Excel and Power Point
