Planer (m/w)/Kostenkontrolle

We have been instructed by our client to identify a Senior Planner for a new urban infrastructure project in Delhi. Our client is a cost, pre and post, and claims consultancy, and they are representing a leading Taiwanese construction company, with vast international experience of designing and constructing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects

The Project
• The project is of one of India’s most prestigious urban infrastructure projects.
• The consortium is responsible for the design and construction of tunnels (4014 m in
length and 5.6 in diameter) and four stations (each 318 m long), over a 40 month period.

The Role
Reporting to the Joint venture Board, duties and responsibilities will include:

• Liaising between the project Joint Venture Management and specialist contractors
• Strategic planning for project development
• Monitoring the project’s time related progress
• Compiling submissions to the Joint Venture Board
• Completion of monthly reporting dashboard and preparation of documentation required for Formal Management Meeting to tight time lines and changing requirements to reflect the requirements of the programme.
• Production of financial reporting information for both project and corporate budgets, production of the budget tracking documentation (‘Blue Sheet'), generation of variance analysis and submission of accruals data.
• Contract Management and administration.
• An element of claims may also be included, so any previous experience would be extremely desirable

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Significant planning experience within the construction sector, preferably within a contractor environment.
• A relevant degree within a construction-related discipline.
• A self-starter with experience of leading major projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• P3E and MS Project
• A measured and well organised approach
• Confident communication, both in writing and in internal and external presentations
• Competent use of P3e, Power Project, MS Project and Primavera, Ms Word, Excel and Power Point
