As Controls Engineer you will be responsible for the specification and design of control systems for manufacturing equipment taking into consideration schedule and budget.
Duties
The main responsibilities as a Controls Engineer will include:
Developing a detailed understanding of all of the different automation systems including distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers and SCADA systems.
Development of the Functional and Detail Design specifications
Software / Hardware development
Software Testing / Commissioning Rslogix 5000 , SLC and RSNetworks
Development of Point Database/ Control Modules / Graphic User Interface (Ifix)
Implement code changes to the automation systems under change control.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
NCEA Certificate or Diploma / Degree in software / Automation Engineering
At least 3 years experience ideally in the Pharmaceutical industry but not essential
A strong knowledge of RSlogix 5000 and previous experience in PLC controlled equipment, PC Controlled equipment, Database
Experience working in a start up / commissioning phase
Ability to work on own with minimum supervision.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience on Emerson Delta V, Honeywell Plantscape, Honeywell care, Allen Bradley PLC’s.
Documenting work procedures in compliance to all ISO9001 and current GMP procedures and practices.
