The Senior Architect will be responsible for reviewing documents at various phases in accordance with projects plans for the successful completion of the Duqum Beach Hotel. In this role understanding urban and architectural quality will be paramount as will interpreting building and zoning codes and providing technical solutions that will influence design.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:

• Reviewing documents in various phases for design intent, materials use and Master Plan intent.

• Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies as necessary in meetings, drawings and other forms of communication.

• Proposing improved solutions on technical issues influencing design.

• Communicating with governmental agencies or officials for purpose of approvals and permits.

• Conducting on-site observations and compliance checks on previously reviewed design work.


Qualification: B.Arch Degree in Architecture. Membership of a professional Architectural Association such as RIBA and AIA is preferred.

Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.

Please note that the role will be based in Duqum (600km south of Muscat). Candidates will need to be willing to be accommodated ‘on site’ at Duqum.
