Building Services Electrical Engineer
CAMBRIDGE
Part of the Eastern Region of my clients M&E team, you will be based in our design centre in Cambridge, delivering mainly capital projects for local authorities and other clients. You’ll be involved at every stage, from carrying out inspections and developing designs and specifications to overseeing the delivery of work. In addition, you’ll advise clients, project managers and architects on compliance and industry best practice.
You will possess excellent technical skills in electrical building services and should have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to understand and express technical concepts clearly and accurately.
With, or working towards, chartered status, you’ll have a complete understanding of design practices, contracts and project-management processes in connection with electrical building services. It’s also desirable that you have a working knowledge of BREEAM rating and AutoCAD systems.
Mechanical Engineer BS
LONDON
Part of the Eastern Region M&E team, you will be based in my clients office in Kentish Town, delivering projects mainly for the Metropolitan Police and London Borough of Islington as well as for other local authorities and clients. You’ll be involved at every stage, from carrying out inspections and developing designs and specifications to overseeing the delivery of work. In addition, you’ll advise clients, project managers and architects on compliance and industry best practice.
You will possess excellent technical skills in mechanical (H&V) building services and should have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to understand and express technical concepts clearly and accurately.
With, or working towards, chartered status, you’ll have a complete understanding of design practices, contracts and project-management processes in connection with mechanical building services.
Mechanical Design Engineer
BRISTOL
The role will provide a range of challenging, dynamic and high-profile projects where you will have the ability to receive and develop a brief and contribute to the development of the design and construction process.
Principle functions include carrying out the mechanical design for the projects.
The Mechanical Engineer shall carry out Heat loss and Heat gain calculation both by static and dynamic means.
Establish the ventilation, heating and A/C layout together with all aspect of public health.
Coordinate with the electrical design engineer and issue all information to allow electrical design to be completed.
Liaise with the design team members to convey the requirements of the M&E service to them, as well as understanding the client brief.
Write the specification for the project and establish the schedules for all equipment.
Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings.
Experience and exposure of a range of mechanical engineering solutions.• Ideally, experience working in UK Mechanical engineering involved in the lifecycles of projects.• Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy.• A strong technical focus.• Strong IT skills ideally with AutoCAD experience• Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required.
