Design Managers

We have several Clients who seek Design Managers for multi billion Dollar schemes in the Gulf. Typically these schemes are mixed use developments comprising hotel, residential and retail designed around a theme by one of the world’s leading design houses. The individual buildings are breathtaking in themselves, the master plans are groundbreaking.

Your role as Design Manager would be to manage the process on behalf of the Developer in order that the design for each building is progressed in line with the overall program so as to comply with the dates given to the Contractors and other Developers within the overall master plan.

As a Design manager, you will manage and work with the Consulting Architects and Engineers at the concept stage of the building project, both developing the design and operating as the key interface between the Consultants and the Delivery teams. You will work on buildings that in the future will be world famous iconic structures.

You may not be an Architect or an Engineer but you must understand the design process. You could well be a project manager with a design background. You will manage delivery, quality and cost. You will be concerned with getting value and efficiency from the building. You concern will not be the methodology of the structural frame process but rather the space planning, room relationship, net to gross relationships. You must be capable of engaging at peer level with renowned International Architects and Engineers.

Candidates will be degree and professionally qualified Architects, Engineers or Project Managers, with a track record in design management of medium to high-rise, complex and major building schemes.
